Nancy purchased Ghlenlivet as a weanling from Rolling Stone Farm in August 1999. He is a Hanoverian by Gold Luck out of Piper.

When they first saw Ghlen, Nancy and her husband Greg were immediately drawn to his sweet temperament. After bringing him home, it was common to see the younger boarders lying in his stall with him when he was sleeping.

Compared to Nancy's other horses, Ghlen was easy to break, and the first time she rode him, Nancy said she was shocked at how large and airy his gaits were.

Today, Nancy is showing Ghlen Prix St. Georges. He stands 16.1 hands and sits easily on his haunches with a light, floating trot and powerful canter.

Under Nancy's expert training, Ghlen's show record speaks for itself:

* 2009: USDF Horse of the Year 52nd at Prix St. George and American Hanoverian Society 5th at Prix St Georges

* 2008: USDF Horse of the Year 12th at Fourth Level, American Hanoverian Society First at Fourth Level
