Sharon and Ghardener attended the Region 1 Finals in Lexington, Virginia, on October 22-25th, 2009. This was the first time Sharon had been to a Regional Finals in..ohhh...about 15 years! This was also the first time Ghardener had been to a show of this size. He was a BASKET CASE for the first two days on the show grounds. However, Ghardener pulled it together when it counted and the two tied for third in their Training Level Adult Amateur Finals class with a 68.4% and placed third in their First Level Adult Amateur Finals class with a score of 69.737%.

On Thursday, Sharon could barely walk Ghardener around
this scary ring (it's on the side of a very LARGE hill!). No
one knew what Ghard would do after his first halt! |

Is this what we think it is? Is this ACTUALLY
a stretchy circle?
|
|
Look at that! It IS A STRETCHY CIRCLE! |

This is Ghardener's first halt in his first-ever
Regional Finals class: Training Level Adult Amateur |

|
WOW! We survived with no major mistakes (except
Sharon almost forgot to do a movement!) |
|
|
We had a hard time telling the two horses
apart that were tied for third! |
