Courtney Yeager has been a boarder at SendonWay longer than anyone else. She came to the farm in 1998 when she was only 11 years old. Nancy has been instrumental in guiding Courtney toward dressage, and over the years, she has blossomed into a successful and highly talented young rider.

She is currently riding Shammer Jake, an elegant and extremely talented Connemara. Courtney's parents breed Connemaras at their farm: Loughin Farm. Courtney is currently competing Jake at Intermediaire 1.

Courtney is a Senior at Ohio State University and is majoring in Political Science. Like other dedicated young riders, Courtney has Jake with her at college so she can continue training. In addition to riding, she is serious about her coursework and is a regular on the Dean's List.

In 2007, Courtney was featured in Sport Horse and Pony magazine and was on the cover of the American Connemara Pony Magazine. She was elected to the USEF new youth council and is one of 18 young adults nationwide to participate. She attends the USEF annual meetings and is in charge of the youth conference to be held in conjunction with the USEF annual meeting. This is a two year elected office and David O'Connor has given the kids free rein to do what they want.

Courtney began showing Jake at I-1 at the end of 2007. She also began started working with her 2 1/2 year old Connemara/Hanoverian baby Giddeon on some basics, getting ready to start him next year. (Giddeon is a half-brother to both Ghlenlivet and Ghardener).
